“Beautiful location, excellent accommodations, delicious food, well constructed and maintained boats - however the best is the amazing staff that does so much to make sure each guest is taken care of and having a terrific time. We have been to River's Inlet more than 10 times over a 20 year period - this visit, our first at Duncanby, was the best!”

“One of the most serene places on Earth. Unmatched quality service and fishing experience. The rooms are clean and well equipped for a comfortable stay.Plane access only but don't worry you'll eat like a king. The food at the kitchen is 5 star. A must experience.”

“The happiest place on earth. Sid and his crew are the best. They see to your every need and aim to make your trip the most spectacular fishing adventure you have ever had. From the fine dining and accommodations to the boats and dock staff that make your trip enjoyable. Fishing from the boats with fine gear and great guides helps make your experience great. The staff at Duncanby Lodge are truly a family. I would recommend visiting them if you are up for some great fishing and even better food. Thanks again to the staff at Duncanby Lodge and the ladies working at the office in Richmond. You have truly impressed me and I WILL be back soon.”

“This review of Duncanby Lodge is somewhat dated, as I have not fished with them since 2008. However, last night as my son and I returned from our 12th salmon fishing trip to the BC coast, (which we have been doing since he was eight years old), I began thinking about all of lodges that we have stayed at over the past decade or so. During that time we have fished at 9 different BC salmon lodges. I realized that out of all of the fishing lodges that we have stayed at, Duncanby Lodge has remained, in our minds, the best overall fishing lodge that we have ever stayed at. Their accommodations have been the best, their meal plans were fantastic, their boats and equipment is great, their owner and staff were more then dedicated to helping to ensure that their guests catch fish, and everyone at the lodge treats you like family. Although my boy and I did not catch many fish at Duncanby on that trip, that was not because the fish were not there. It was only because of our inexperience at that time, with fishing for salmon. However, even though we had not paid for a guide, the owner cared enough to have a guide take us out one afternoon, giving my son his first opportunity to catch bottom fish. The people at Duncanby simply cared about us, and took the time to ensure that we had a great trip. I have watched their web site over the years, and it is obvious that they are still treating their guests just as great. This is evidenced in the fact that they are always booked for a year in advance. The only reason that we have never been back is because I can’t plan so far in advance. Ultimately, I wanted to write this review to let others know that with all of the experience that we have gained at eight other salmon fishing lodges over the years, Duncanby has been the best one of them all.”

“Duncanby isn't only a location, its an experience. The passion and movement behind the recovery and preservation of our coastal fish and habitats that Duncanby shares and exercises is contagious and extremely admirable. You're inspired to enjoy the sport of fishing, but just as inspired to become apart of the movement towards returning and bringing more large fish back into our inlets and oceans; With their prize/acknowledgment system its hard not to want to be apart of it. I've left with a completely different outlook and respect towards fishing and the outdoors, and i've fallen inlove again. The staff was so kind, and its obvious and refreshing to see how much they care for one another. I felt like I landed at a family cabin and before I knew it, they had me feeling like family aswell. The food was amazing, the kitchen flexibility is amazing, the drinks, options and just everything is so great! With sport fishing can come a hussle. Duncanby does an amazing job at reminding you you're on vacation with how enjoyable, flexible and comfortable everything about it is.. I will forever be saving my pennies for as many Duncanby experiences as I can squeeze into this life time.. Until then!”

“A first class operation in all respects. The entire team operates as 'one', with the genuine goal of making your experience the best it can be. The scenery, the fishing, the food and the accommodations are only surpassed by the level of customer service that Sid and his well trained staff provide. 5 Stars in my book.”
